Becoming a member means supporting Human Sea Bridge, the international identity of Pont de Mer Humanitaire, a France-based nonprofit that connects urgent human needs with medical, academic and institutional capacity.

Membership strengthens Human Sea Bridge’s legitimacy, operational capacity and democratic life. It provides lasting support for our Access to Care and Bridges to the Future programmes, gives members a voice in the organisation and creates opportunities to contribute relevant expertise or networks when needed.

A clear and responsible commitment

Membership does not create an automatic operational commitment. Volunteer roles and responsibilities are offered according to need, skills, availability and safeguarding requirements. Every application is reviewed under the organisation’s applicable rules.

For taxpayers subject to French income tax, memberships and donations may qualify for the statutory tax reduction, subject to applicable limits. A tax receipt will be issued when eligible.

Your data and payment

Your first name, last name and email address are used only to register and manage your membership, provide administrative follow-up and meet accounting and tax obligations. These processing activities are based on performance of your membership and, for required records, on the organisation’s legal obligations.

Recipients are authorized Human Sea Bridge personnel and Stripe, the secure payment provider. Card details are entered only on the Stripe Checkout page: they do not pass through WordPress and are not stored there.

Membership management data is kept for as long as needed for the membership, then archived with restricted access where evidence or law requires it. Accounting and tax records are retained for the applicable statutory period, which may be up to ten years.

Membership, the optional donation and any marketing communication are separate purposes. This form does not subscribe you to marketing communications. You may exercise your rights as described in the privacy policy.
